Thermal Screening The Best Protection Solution
I am an RAF Veteran with over 22 years’ experience in dealing with state-of-the-art electronics and imaging equipment. Meaning you can trust that the system we offer has been personally, tried and tested and meets our adopted quality standard, taken from the RAF. This means all our systems and processes are "Fit for Purpose" and made available at "Minimum Cost". Surely music to everyone's ears. Our mission is to:
"Ensure safe access using portable thermal camera screening systems."
The newspapers are full of articles about the fears parents have regarding the safe return of their children to school and customers to businesses. But, lets drill down and think about what this main concern is.
Parents do not want to risk the health of their children by sending them to school, where it is going to be virtually impossible to enforce the 2-meter social distancing. It's exactly the same for people visiting businesses like pubs, cafes, restaurants, etc.
This being the case, what can we do? it's a well-known fact that the body’s reaction to fighting infection, any infection, is to put our immune system to work and this has the effect of raising our body temperature. Normal body temperature is 37 deg C, fever in an infected person starts at just 37.8 deg C. (NHS -Source)
I receive many comments regarding the sustainability of thermal screening systems. Thermal screening technology advanced greatly because of the SARS epidemic in 2003. Scientists studying animals now believe that there are over 200 infections that can pass over to human, for which we have no immunity. Think about Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Ebola. So, as you can see the protection offered by Thermal Screening Technology is going to be needed far into the future.
Portable Thermographic Scanner
This is an enhancement of a previous version and now has a larger thermal resolution of 160x120. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) and the Office of Product Evaluation and Quality (OPEQ), have defined the standards required for; "Telethermographic Systems During the 2019 Public Health Emergency". Regarding temperature range and accuracy this device meets or exceeds this standard.
The advantages of this device over many others is its portability, being able to move it from one entrance to another, maybe at different times of day. Another reason to consider this product is its cost effectiveness over other systems that usually cost between £3,500 and £20,000. It's not the cheapest thermal scanner you can buy, you could get one from China, but ours is sourced from the EU. Here is a summary of our portable thermographic scanner:
