A video to show how effective our disinfectant fogging service is with all types of vehicles, in this case, a coach.
Deep Cleaning of Vehicles
There has been many concerns raised by drivers of the local buses, that they weren’t being properly cleaned, giving an increased risk of people catching Covid-19. So, what can the operator do to solve this challenge?
Vehicle Specific Covid-19 Risk Assessment
Operators should carry out an audit to determine:
The high frequency touch points
How often a disinfectant clean should take place
What to do if there is a confirmed case of Covid-19 onboard.
What disinfectants should be used, and note any potential hazards.
Once a risk assessment has been carried out and documented, the system should be checked to ensure it is fit for purpose. In these strange times
every business owner is suddenly expected to be a virologist and H&S expert. Let’s face it, none of us are. So:
How Do You Know You Are Using the Right Disinfectant?
You really must read the labels. First thing to check is the back of the product and make sure it doesn’t have any red diamonds, indicating that it is hazardous. If it is hazardous make sure you have the relevant Safety Data Sheet. this will tell you what the hazards are and what precautions to take, during use and transportation. **Did you know most hand sanitisers are flammable and therefore special precautions should be taken when being transported**
Please note that all Cleanse Smart products are classified as non-hazardous.
Next, check the front of the label. Look to see the kill percentage. If you use a 70% alcohol disinfectant they are usually 99.9% effective. And most people wrongly think this is good. they are wrong. Cleanse Smart products kill percentage is 99.9999%. this means that our products are 1,000 times better at killing things like viruses and bacteria.
Vehicle Disinfectant Fogging Services
DHDT utilised our disinfectant fogging services to deep clean his training vehicles over at Teesside Airport. Depending upon the size of the vehicle we can use either a hot fog method, as seen in the video, or we can use a cold fog method. The important thing is that both types of disinfectant fogging are efficient and as you can see, protect every surface they touch. This type of deep clean fogging has built in efficacy which means treated surfaces remain protected until the nano-coating wears off. Generally, we say a fogging service lasts around 28 days.
Conclusion
Have a covid-19 risk assessment audit. Use high quality disinfectant to regularly treat those high frequency touch points (handles etc). Next have a deep clean disinfection fogging carried out at least once a month.
